You should’ve been there
Last night was great
British Sea Power was amazing.
The Loft was amazing.
British Sea Power was just as awesome as I expected. They really played music that I really enjoyed. What more can I ask? Well they might’ve had more merchandise. They only had one No Lucifer shirt in XL. And they didn’t have any more buttons, so I took the ones from the display. Long wanted to buy a No Lucifer shirt, but they didn’t have any in his size. I was also hoping they would have their mug for sale. And as a testament of how truly awesome their music is, while I was unhooking the buttons from the display, a really old guy with a cane and everything came up and started talking to me about how great they are. And how he really enjoyed the latest album (Do You Like Rock Music?) and the one before (Open Season).
They really have some Awesome Shirts though.
This is the shirt I bought

And I would’ve bought these if they had them

And these are the buttons

It was my first concert at a club in a few years. I think the last show I went to was Ash at Trees(?).
Previously, I wrote off going to clubs to see bands. Mainly cause it would be hot and smokey, and by the end of the night I would be miserable. And when I got home, I’d cough up a lung. I was happy when Trees closed down. I was happy when Deep Ellum died. What can I say, I don’t like to suffer for my (watching) art. But the Loft as a venue, was great. They had a balcony. And it wasn’t smoky and stuffy inside. And it had a nice view of Downtown Dallas. It was everything I ever wanted in a music venue. Too bad that their calendar wangs chung.

British Sea Power and Caribou are the only 2 bands that I recognize on that list. The rest are mostly jokey bands.
