A funny thing happened on the way to … home

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Since I’m now carrying a hip new bag, it’s only natural to carry around a camera to match. And it’s already paying off.

Today on the way home, I saw a Camaro towing a giant beer bottle. Normally you wouldn’t believe me, but I had a camera. You see, so I’m telling the truth

On my way home

His buddy was towing a hummer and some sort of shell of a sports car.

Who knew what crazy fun they were planning?

Atomic Timezone

Sunday, March 11th, 2007

Don’t forget to set your clocks 1 hour ahead today. Even though it feels like Congress was plotting against me, I came off pretty well. I only had to adjust 2 clocks in my room, my 2 alarm clocks – Sony Ericsson T610 and Official Alarm Clock. I did have to get a patch (Silly Microsoft) for my phone.

But the big news, the important news is that my watch adjusted by itself. I have an atomic watch you see. It’s a Casio that sets it’s time based on the atomic clock in Colorado. I was worried about this one because I figured that the radio signal would just have GMT time and the watch will just adjust based on the time zone I set, so I would be off. I was assuming DST information would be kept on the watch. Turns out I was wrong

WWVB Time Code Format

It’s in the signal. Very clever.

So why would anyone buy a watch that isn’t a Casio Waveceptor?

This model, in particular, WV300DA-7B is pretty slick
