The best part of having a laser printer…

warm copies make everything better.
Long lent me his Wacom Graphire tablet and for that kind gesture, he’s off notice.
I have really bad handwriting. Also, it’s really hard to get used to the fact that the tiny 4×5 screen represents my monstrous 2005fpw. I keep on wanting it to behave sort of like a mouse. Where the center of the tablet is where my pointer is, and it tracks my movements away from the center. You know.I’m making use of Inkwell in that screenshot. It’s MacOS’s built-in tablet utility. It’s very fancy. But the handwriting recognition isn’t that great. And I can’t seem to find a training utility so I can get it to recognize my chicken scratch.
The iPod, pretty decent machine taking everything into consideration. It’s not perfect, but it gets the job done.
But there’s one thing that just annoys the hell out of me. I just wanna take the iPod and slam it into the ground. Note, I have a 4G iPod, this behavior may have changed. Basically, the iPod is unable to deal with long album names. The iPod just truncates the name on display. But when you have a song title that is too long, the iPod will scroll the title, it won’t with the album name. What it comes down to, I have a lot of Rough Trade Compilations and I don’t know what’s what.
I love Regina Spektor. I’m probably late to the party since this video and her latest cd, Soviet Kitsch, came out in 2004. I seriously can’t stop listening to this song, Us. It’s from that Valentine’s Day Mix I posted. It’s also the first time I’ve even heard anything by her, even though I did unearth an album of hers I had that I just never got around to playing.

In the spirit of the season, here’s a mix cd I totally stole from someone else.
Totally Stolen 1. Rilo Kiley – Go Ahead 2. Belle & Sebastian – Another Sunny Day 3. John Lennon – Oh Yoko 4. Razorcuts – Sorry to Embarrass You 5. Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Over and Over Again 6. The National – Karen 7. Regina Spektor – Us 8. Mama Cass Elliot – Make Your Own Kind of Music 9. Neutral Milk Hotel – Song Against Sex 10. The Unicorns – I Was Born (A Unicorn) 11. The Decemberists – Oceanside 12. Nick Drake – The Thoughts of Mary Jane 13. Cat Stevens – The Wind 14. The Faces – Ooh La La
With plenty of time to spare.
Since what I’ve been drinking has been the topic of discussion lately, let’s talk about those energy drinks that are all over the place these days. Specifically, Rockstar.
Rockstar tastes like what I imagine dragon piss must taste like mixed with ground up sweetarts. But it works somehow. I usually feel really run down midday on Tuesdays and Thursdays, when I have class and then go to work. And since I hate coffee and crack is out of the question, I decided to try Rockstar to try and perk myself up. And you know, it worked. Almost too well. Like I believed Rockstar to be some magic serum and as result I could’ve ran a marathon. The only drawback, is that this stuff is amazingly expensive.
Also who watches the opening ceremony of the Olympics anymore? Arrested Development
Here’s something I learned recently, Powerpoint has a zoom feature. It makes printing slides that much better.
(100% on the left, 120% on the right)
You can find the zoom option, File – Page Setup – Options. It took 5 years of printing Powerpoint slides to find that option.
Also, who watches the Super Bowl anymore? AdJab
Coca-Cola Black Cherry Vanilla tastes just like Vanilla Coke. You can barely taste the “Cherriness”. What a disappointment.
It’s amazing how much better coke in Trinidad is compared to the US. Maybe one day when I become a billionaire, I’ll start importing Solo and Pear D. Then you will all see.
