Phew, for a minute there

The British have a word, gutted. It’s an amazing word. It packs so much emotion and feeling into one simple word. Gutted. It’s much more than sad or disappointed can ever hope to convey. Let’s try it.

I’m absolutely gutted.

I found out today that I’m not getting an offer from Software Architects. Last week I got a call from a recruiter there that said it was looking good, there was a really good chance I’ll get an offer. I called him back today, and found out there is no chance. What changed? The regional VP cut the number of openings from 6 to 4. And then I died on the inside.

I’d hire you in an instant if I were them! They don’t know what they’re missing.

    Sorry Raishad :(

They will have another round of hiring eventually, they always do. And if you’re still interested, you’ve already aced all the interviews.
