Blogosphere, Sup?

Remember my post, There is/are no god(s) :( from a few days ago? It’s taking the internet by storm. The traffic to my site(that post) has increased by a jillion percent.

I’ve gotten a few hits because of that video of David Cross. Mainly from this guy. And I’ve been linked by other various blogs and forums. I guess the one I’m most proud of, is by this Gnome developer, Joe Shaw. Though he links directly.

It’s always interesting how things spread on the internet. I mean, here I am, writing this for a handful of people, and it just propogates. I mean if you search for David Cross Rant, the video I encoded is the first result

Google Results

And take a look at my bandwidth usage,

Bandwidth

It takes a jump when I posted the video.

So yea, it feels good.

Howdy, I’m that “guy” (mmeiser.com). I decided to reblog it because it you couldn’t get to the video or vlog it with the referer blocking on. Had some bandwidth to spare. And well, it’s sort of gotten pretty hot. Thanks for posting it. Interesting stuff.

    Thanks

I use a Mac, but it should be a similar workflow on whatever os you use. I used MacTheRipper to rip the title from the DVD. Then I used FFMpegX to convert the VOB to something Quicktime could open. Then used Quicktime to resize and cut the scene. Then finally encode that clip to a mov.
